Client is Your King, Act as Advisor not His Servant

There’s saying in the agency world, “client is king” even some says that “client is god”. It’s not wrong to refer them as your king since you service them with all you’ve got. Some people getting this old saying wrong in some point especially account in agencies, it’s true that Client is your king. The problem is how you refer yourselves in front of the king? As his “advisor” or as his “servant? Here’s a little tips on how to say measure:

1. Be considerate of your internal team

Client usually has sudden request. Of course it’s important to meets your client expectation but you have to be considerate with your team mates. Are they full doing other works?

2. Make sure about your Service Level Agreement

Before signing a partnership, definitely there are Service Level Agreement between 2 parties. Make sure to come up with a solution before addressing the SLA such as negotiation about the deadline and the output.
