Curious how do people really good at solving problems? Here are some 6 steps that might help!

1. Define the Problem

Identify problems through problem formulation and questioning. The key is asking the right questions to discover root causes. Several techniques are required in this stage, such ads: brainstorming, interviewing, and questionnaires.

2. Determine the Root Cause

Assumptions are uncovered and underlying problems are further revealed. Use this time to collect and analyze data.

3. Develop Alternative Solutions

Regroup with team to determine appropriate solution and process through creative selection.

4. Select a Solution

Once solution and the alternative options has been discussed, explore the pros and cons of each option through forecasting consequences.

5. Implement the Solution

Develop an action plan to implement and execute the solution process.

6. Evaluate the Outcome

This requires an evaluation of the outcomes and results of the solution process.
